Notes:
- The building of the Rural Bank of Silay was part of the original house of Don Jose "Pepe" Del Rosario Ledesma. The windows of the bank as well as those in some of the houses around it that are owned by his descendants are the original windows of Don Pepe's house.
- In the NHI listing there is a house with an unfamiliar name: "Benita Jara" heritage house. It was purely by accident that I found out that this Jara house is actually the Nicolas Armin Jalandoni House. The late Mr. Jalandoni is a descendant of Benita Jara.

It's amazing that Silay City houses that many historical jewels. I definitely will be having a field day when I visit Silay this September.
ReplyDeletePlease pass by the cultural and tourism office at the Dr. Jose C. Locsin Cutural and Civic Center where you can get guide maps for your walking tour. This is in front of the City Hall. Have fun!
